Evaluation Question 3:

What have you learned from your audience feedback?

The methods of audience feedback i used during the process of creating the music video was a written questionnaire, some teacher feedback online through Edmodo, an online questionnaire through SurveyMonkey.com and finally a videoed questionnaire for my digipak feedback.
I found that the method that worked the best was the online survey as it allowed them to take their time and do it when it was a convenient time for them. Additionally the website itself put some diagrams together and kept all the responses together which made it easy for us to look over the results quickly and compare the different opinions. The responses were also fairly detailed which was more helpful for us that one word answers.
The method that didn't work so well was the written questionnaire as most of the responses were quite vague and gave us a general insight into our audience's opinion about our idea but wasn't as detailed as the online feedback was.
The teacher feedback was helpful as it was received after each draft throughout the process which gave me the opportunity to change anything that didn't work so well.

ANALYSIS OF MUSIC VIDEO FEEDBACK

      ANALYSIS OF DIGIPAK FEEDBACK

How you carried out audience feedback either during the production process or right at the end

For my digipak feedback i received feedback from my teacher at various stages of the process where she told me what was working well and what didn't work so well and give me improvements to make which i did. Once I had completed both ancillary tasks to a completed standard I undertook audience feedback by videoing three people that answered a questionnaire about the digipak and digipak advert which gave me an insight into how well my target audience liked them and whether they thought they worked well or not.
The positive feedback i received included: that they all work well together, all three said they would buy/find out more about the product due to the digipak advert, the close up works well with the enhancement as they stand out, the contrast between the front and back, the images work well, the theme of gold looks good and the black background makes it mysterious, the glitter and makeup, the sparkle, the audience know clearly where to find it, the font makes it all link.
The things i could improve on were: making the shots brighter, adding more features on the poster, including the other girl in the video on the album and making the writing bolder to ensure the audience know what its called.
In the future i would ensure there was good lighting in all the shots as it will help in making the digipak and digipak advert a lot more eye catching for the audience. I would probably add a few more things to the advert in order to make sure the audience have all the information they would need and also more in order to let them get to know the artist and get an understanding of their music a bit more. I would also take the advice of making the writing bolder because posters are suppose to be eye-catching and it would be hard for the audience to get the information if the writing is quite faint.
The process of videoing people asking questions about my digipak and digipak advert worked really well for me. It was relatively quick and convenient to do. Doing a video meant the people i asked could go into a lot more detail with their answers, whereas if they had written a response it would have probably been a lot more rushed and not in as much detail.
